That's a great attitude, and having the spousal support (personal and financial) doesn't hurt either.Sometimes you get forced into taking that first step... but it's still a step in a direction you were going-in anyway!

I'm not insensitive, merely practical.In all my 20-25 years of probate investing, I've only had two people that were so grieve stricken that they couldn't take care of business (and I suspect that there were "other issues" involved, too).If you show up with a helpful attitude and offer to take a few burdens off the family's shoulder, you can be a hero.

Throughout the course of my time there, I continuously sought out the brokers, although they were sometimes hard to approach, and made it vehemently clear that I had the right attitude and commitment to become a broker.

Plus I didn't create the attitude of most buyers that the bigger sizes above the area norm are not worth much more money, and as far as I'm concerned they are right because when they go to sell they are going to have the same problem.
