It’s really not hard to find someoneFor example people who buy a loan in their name and move it to LLC - some say for asset protection and some say to hide their name - well the recorded mortgage is still in their name and it’s a quit claim deed to a LLC so it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure who owns the LLC

However, the possibility the former owner or one of the lenders will claim service was improper is one of the reasons title insurers are reluctant to allow a policy to be issued w/o a quit title action being completed first.It's a good idea to ask the title agent for a commitment that will show the requirements for the issuance of a policy w/o exception for other interests.

The Escrow lady was furious said their own notaries were the only ones who could do it and each person would have to fill out a "Statement of Fact" statement of facts from each of the people that had signed the quit claims the problem with this is that three of them that absolutely want nothing to do with the property and don't want to be bothered and are mad as hell because basically they had signed off on it and considered it done, and then not only did they want them to resign with their own notary but to fill out the "statement of fact" which asked a lot of personal questions that nobody wants to give the answers to this day and age let alone on a property that you are having nothing to do with anymore.

Since you already paid, file a claim in small claims court naming whoever is on the payoff demand, FCI in this case apparently.Something similar happened to me a while back.
