Our house is set back from the street and has a driveway.

It's about a 5 minute drive from my house and I own a duplex on the same street, so I know the area and tenant base well and felt confident in my rent projections.

Alas, I still would appreciate the insights of local NJ investors here on the place we purchased.The condo is a 3 bed, 2 bath, shade under 1.4k square feet on 19th Street in Union City (on the block between West and Bergenline).

Worst case may be the main water line to the street.

Been there done that....Biggest issue will be the tie into the street main & they generally do not let anyone but an insured lic plumber integrate that connection with the '15-20 on shift city guys' that show up for a $1200 connection charge.

You have a beautiful park right down the street with over twelve thousand acres!!!

There was even a property listed as vacant with a street view picture, but the property had actually been torn down.

@Garreton SmithHi Garreton,Walking distance services and stores the intended residents will like.Such as certain fast foods, liquor stores, grocery store, convenience stores, medical services, nothing too upscale/unaffordable.Good Lighting at night on the street vs. where the street lights get shot out by the local criminal element so they can sell drugs in darkness.Good Luck!
