It was my first time going and it was nerve wracking until I started meeting people and it just felt welcoming!!

I currently have about 300k in equity in the home and I want to utilize it. 

Do I start reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad" which seems to be a popular book in this business?

We currently have around 175K in equity in our house we are willing to access some of it utilizing a HELOC but we want to get connected with investors that can help us walk through this! 

Utilities are costing me around 450/mo plus another 400/mo for pool and garden maintenance.

It seemed like the best fit for me, i could just start fresh and put all my money towards vehicle payment and down payment savings.

Any advice on starting this endeavor? 

By the way, I knew nothing about RE when I started, owned my home.The group, that is, sponsors in the group, did 50+ deals in 2018 and is trending toward 75+ this year. 

Hey Alex, From what I am seeing and hearing from the agents/investors that I work with, a lot of investors who own properties are starting to transition from LTR to MTR/STR model, and housing professionals/nurses + the occasional booking on Airbnb/VRBO.
