where should I start when looking to build a portfolio?

That's a serious down payment on an investment property, save that for yourself and your portfolio. 

As far as my real estate investing portfolio i want to quit my job and become a flipper full time and use the funds from flipping to turn it into a portfolio of cash flowing property any advice here on what step or steps i should take next im kinda at a lost having analysis paralysis right now.

If you have future plans to build a portfolio or even just a second property in the next few years, you might want want to tie up a ton of equity in this.

We would not be looking to build a large buy and hold portfolio for the association but we think it would be a good opportunity to buy a run down home in our neighborhood and get it fixed up.  

After being fairly successful with stock investing, my portfolio is at the point whereby I experience "huge" losses (and gains) do to the volitility of the market.

Tanikka Myers To sum up everything I've learned in the past 6 months trying to convert a buy-and-hold portfolio from personal name (financed conventionally) to LLC: There's no real point to having the LLC so long as I want to keep my really attractive financing.I realize this is a favorite topic to argue about, and not interested in debating the point.
