They likely saved their client time, but he/she should pay for that.If my listing is on the MLS, then sharing a % of the commission I'd make as the list agent is the cost of using the platform - again, its not that the renter's agent actually provided any service of value to the landlord and their agent, but rather you are paying for listing on the platform.Sales on the other hand is different where a buyer's agent does do a lot of work that moves the process along and is therefore of value to all parties (including the seller).
