That is the only way I knowof tohold any bank's feet to the fire to keep them from any bait and switch tactic.IMO, most often, the loan officer just has not been in the business long enough to know what to say in unusaual situations, if they don't deal with it everyday, they forget and it;s not caught until it gets to someone else up the food chain with more experience.

We had a fire on a 4-Plex this winter, nothing major thank God, nobody hurt, tenant was home, smelled smoke and saw light fixture glowing so called 911, FD got it out and it was electrical issue.

They'll probably ask you for a photo of the front & back of house and if there are things they don't like they'll make you get a TAPCO policy while it's being repaired, then you get a dwelling/fire policy later with a normal insurance carrier.
