Work wise I don't touch anything electric so they are perfect to get the clean look at a super low costThey do take just a little more effort to put the plug in because the plug has to go through the outlet cover first and then into the outlet.

I'm not sure how it is in TX but in RVA if you touch/try to tie in new wiring to any of the existing knob and tube wiring, that has been grandfathered in, you have to rewire the whole thing.
