Local info like quality of neighborhood and schools will matter a hundred times more. 

But as we learned in law school, for every rule there are 11 exceptions, and 4 exceptions to each exception that prove the rule.

It's a pain to do it annually but that shouldn't deter you.If you are looking to rent to students, note that there are very specific areas close to the school that students like.

The resale and school system is much weaker in Bryan. 

Suburbs are typically better schools all around Columbus, so you might tend to get a stronger tenant or Buyer in suburbs here.  

The one sister's husband and the single sister were attending school at BYU and each family couldn't afford much for rent.

When it comes to analyzing areas to invest in I'm curious if there is a popular national website to gather stats like school districts, population, income, jobs etc?
