Attorneys - Los Angeles

Are there any other attorneys on BP who focus on real estate - whether litigation or transactional?

Any attorneys who invest while practicing law full time in another specialty?

Any attorneys who left the practice of law to focus on one aspect of real estate or another?

I work full time doing litigation and just getting started in investing on the side. Just want to reach out and say hello.

@David Tipton  there are a few here on BP I think.

I have a unique view on this... as I was brought up in the business by my dad and his RE attorney in Oakland CA.  This attorney taught me a lot in my early years.  He tought me the foreclosure business and how to do my own search's at the courthouse how to find shawdow plats etc etc.

But one thing he did was he exchanged hourly rate for equity in the deals .. so he worked for many of the larger developers in the Bay Area.. Wayne Valley...HUGE builder in the day.

Another Chinese investor I cant recall his name who bought most of the PS storage facilities in the BAy area in the late 80S.. and many other builder developers. Along with Hard money lenders.. and of course my father who was in the land business.

He practiced from 9 to 12   then went to the Athenia Nile club and played dominios to 4 came back to his office and went home at 5  LOL> He had his core clients his entire career my dad and him did deals for over 30 years..  And since he took a shine to me I could basically call him ( even when he was playing dominios) and get advice .. never once got a bill from him...

Your post just sent me back down memory lane .. not sure how feasible this would be for a modern practicing attorney..
