One unsolicited piece of advice to anyone considering parking their money with a capital company/sponsor. 

It was a fairly good information base, but I found through trail and error that pieces were missing. 

This gives me piece of mind knowing I'm not liable during the rental period. 

Unfortunately, nobody will give you something for nothing...That said, I would suggest working on creating the value you can trade for the other piece of the deal (either money or the REALLY good deal).

A small piece of a big pie, is better than waiting a few years until you get to buy another small pie for yourself (in my opinion). 

Hi All,We are planning on purchasing a piece of land in Lubbock Texas to build a a multifamily property.

Personally for me this always gave me piece of mind that IF I ever wanted to sell one of my properties that has appreciated a lot, I could move back into one for a while if I plan strategically in advance

I called a real estate attorney today based on a Google search, and I got an earful about how Subject To was not possible, the bank would call the loan due, I need to have 'very deep pockets', etc etc etc.I know it's possible and there are people doing these types of deals.

And if you're netting 45-50k why would you want to sell a piece of it?

Currently we have a home improvement/remodeling company, so the construction piece we have including many sub crews.
