Western Avenue used to be that street back then when you'd walk on the east side of it and cross over to the west and it was a drastic change of scenery (that change how now been pushed way farther west)I own a 3-flat Greystone in Lawndale and hoped on the impact of the new Rush Hospital campus to impact the area far quicker than it has (recession halted everything).

It was a garden unit facing to garbage area and no scenery at all so it was hard to rent out first of all.  

We are looking to move to a warmer location for health reasons / future family planning, change of scenery etc.

I feel like if I move somewhere new I can leave behind all the negative scenery and expose myself to new things, to blossom in a new environment.

Of course your high paying wage slave job is guaranteed to be Depression proof and will provide you the money to ride out multi years worth of negative cash flow so Welcome To Oregon, our new motto is "If we are all gonna go broke anyway, might as well do it where the scenery is nice".P.S.

What views (scenery) will you have? 

Beautiful scenery and wildlife galore, lots to do outdoors, great schools, great medical facilities, quality of life is fantastic, most people spend less than ten minutes commuting to work, and we have amenities and money you normally wouldn't find in a city this size but without all the rich-people wackiness you will find in Jackson Hole. 

I don't know much about San Antonio or that market, but I do know the scenery is a lot better down there.Best of luck on the move!
