Fix the health crisis and we can get back to paying off this absurdly large debt.I hate to sound morbid, but all the doom and gloomers out there will like this....The death toll is highest among the elderly.

Or just stay friendly with him and keep checking in every few months, then (not to be morbid) wait until he becomes unable/unwilling to deal with the business any longer and hope he or his family come down to earth and are more willing to negotiate. 

You made a good point of what if something happens.... need to think on that a bit more because while I would say yes I am comfortable about having the reserves there is no telling what happens job wise, health wise, etc for a decade... not to be morbid.

Doesn't mean America is turning 3rd world (in some ways it is with our poor health care, increasing morbidity and infant mortality rate but that's another discussion).

Although a little morbid, one of the main things that helps me get my mind straight is to remind myself that we do not have tomorrow promised to us and even a moment of worrying only takes away from a moment we can be happy.
