i can relate we had a 14 year old choclate lab she had arthritis real bad we kept changing medicines for her and it would help for a while but she would get bad again we could see she was suffering so we decided to put her down i did while my wife was at work to save her the agony that was one of the hardest things ive ever done, we to said we wouldnt get another but after about 9 months we decided to get a golden retriever and it was a great decision, if your a dog lover like we are you will get over the hurt and get another one such a great feeling when we come home and we get greeted by our dog always happy to see us ....sorry for your loss
