In keeping with the spirit of Halloween, what has been your scariest moment as a landlord or investor?

Obviously it would be hard to play both sides of that coin as the startup sole proprietors won't be happy about leaving once the Halloween costume store wants to exercise their seasonal lease.A client of mine was very successful in getting above market footage rates by converting space that was conducive to tech startups needing space.

Of the neighbourhoods I've lived in (Ranchlands, Dalhousie, Woodlands, Banff Trail), our neighbours in Marlborough were the most friendly and chatty, and we got the most kids trick-or-treating on Halloween. 

Because of that it kinda gets under the skin when a new guy jumps in on a forum claiming to have to many "great deals" that he can just hand them out like halloween candy.

Next weekend is Halloween so people with children may not be able to make it and the weekend after that I will not be in town, so that puts us at the 14th.

Everyone always talks about growth and opportunities there, my sister moved out there a few years back (Aliante) talking about how great it would be and all the development, etc...She had to buy new Christmas and Halloween decorations every year because they were continually getting stolen from her yard.

Every once in a while we come across one of those crazy houses where there are no words!  You just shake your head....Share your thoughts on how you handle these houses and even better, share your best pictures of dea...

People hear the word MOLD (I wish there was some type of scary Halloween-looking font to write that) and they go whacky.
