Ive been doing RE for (10 years up to 35 doors) and that software is like watching real estate porn.  

I would leave out the race/familial status and even source of income (all taboo/illegal under fair housing rules). 

I've always thought of equity loan as a taboo kind of thing but for some reason, I feel like it is the right choice for me right now.

There are a few work-arounds, like getting an ownership interest in the property, but those are all a bit taboo as well. 

It's been a major taboo amongst Islam since the expansion of the Ummayyad Caliphate - merely 31 years after the death of Muhammad.

It's probably taboo to point this out in this country, but until the older generations stop sucking from the teat of the younger generations (and learn to be self sufficient), and as long as life expectancy continues to rise, taxes are only going to go up...and/or our debt will continue to rise...Remember that those who represent us mostly have one thing in common -- most are over 50 and the plurality of their voting constituency tends to be baby boomers getting ready to retire.So, they will -- of course -- support anything that supports themselves and their constituency...and of course that includes entitlements for older people...Consider just how much of our taxes are going to support entitlement programs for old people.
