Why are you differentiating "starting out"... as if it makes any difference...which it doesn't.Have you ever played poker? 

Or they could just turn off Judge Judy and move the dam car.If it doesnt run tell them to push it off the driveway before sunset or the same result, sheriff, witness, tow.
