Thank you all for the warm welcomes! I did sign up for the October 11th meetup here in Seattle, so as long as my return flight is not delayed to greatly, I will be there. I look forward to meeting you all at the dinner.

Hello!

Wow, thank you for all the welcoming comments! @Alex Chin, thank you for drawing in these other folks as connections to this conversation. Yes, I am currently looking to expand my network, so these meetups sound like a wonderful opportunity to meet other like-minded folks.

@Elo Xen and @Kelsy Soderlund , thank you for more information on these meetups. I look forward to joining the groups! I'll take a look and see when the next one is that will work for me, which won't be until the second week of October. As an investor, I'm looking to purchase multi-family structures, preferably at least a 4-plex. I will reach out to those meetups that everyone suggested.

@Bill Leonard , I've been hearing that lots of good information is available in those podcasts. Thank you for calling my attention to the matter.

Best.

Hello,

New member here on the BP forum, learning about expanding into real estate investing. I apologize if this has been talked about before, but it seems like it is a dynamic topic too... I am early in the process, but am realizing that there is just so much that I don't even know! I'm wanting to develop my team before buying property, but I wanted to poll you folks and see what you consider valuable or necessary characteristics/traits that define individuals as being great in their profession.

What makes a good mentor for buying rental property? How'd you meet yours?

What makes a good real estate agent/broker? How'd you meet yours? Are you your own?

Thank's for your stories! Best

Hello!

I've been lurking around here for a few weeks and decided to join. This seems like a strong community with all sorts of incredibly useful information! I'm living up in the Seattle area and am looking to expand my income-property portfolio.

I'm pretty new to this, but have been reading book after book, and realize that I need to do some networking! There is just so much information, and it is obvious that there is just so much that I don't even know that I don't know yet, which makes it difficult to drive off in the correct direction. You know?

Anyways, I look forward to joining the discussion, and thank you for having an excellent forum like this!

Hello, I'm new to the forum here. It seems like an amazing resource. And I am looking to increase my real estate holdings. I've been reading up on the subject and piecing together a network of lawyers, accountants, etc... But it's just tough since I still don't know what I don't even know.

I had been considering the Rich Dad Coaching for real estate and did the phone call with someone. But, I just didn't feel like I had been convinced that it was the single best use of $7000. I was disappointed with the termination of the call and how the salesperson used extreme guilt tripping, shame, and threats of never being eligible to do this in the future when I'm ready. That this was my only opportunity for such an amazing experience.

Has anyone else who has done the RDPD Coaching want to share their experience? It sounds like it less than useful for those of you who are established business-folk, but provides some reasonable benefits for those of us who are just starting out.

Am I just being overly hopeful? Or should I be calling them back to sign me up?

I'm really looking for someone who can just point me in the right direction of "oh, hey, read up on this subject." "here's some qualifiers that I've found to be important for a real estate agent/real estate lawyer/accountant/banker/seller to have."
