Wholesaling is fine. I'd stick to doing assignments though unless you know someone that has a bunch of cash sitting around and doesn't mind letting you borrow 100's of thousands of dollars for a few days with extremely low interest.

@Katrina Metoyer sounds like we are making offers in the same marketplace. I'm getting offers accepted but it's usually because I know the area better and I'm willing to buy at tighter margins. Quality of the offers is the most important thing. Quantity doesn't matter in this death bowl of a seller's market.

FIBIs are good. There's one in LB, South Bay, Pasadena, OC, and I might be missing more. LA South REIA has a lot of events. There are plenty of other good ones too.

@Albion Sabani  that's how a lot of people do it.  Daisy chaining other wholesalers deals is another way.  Direct marketing to distressed sellers works too. It's always best to be direct with the seller.
