Thanks Paul,

I was afraid of that!! Can you recommend how we should begin researching north of 3rd/4th street ? I would like to educate myself on the area, since we have not yet checked it out.

Hi BP members,

My husband and I are thinking of buying apartments the Banks area. The thought is that eventually when we downsize we may move in ourselves, but rent it out till then. We love that part of town but for now are in the burbs. We see many nice apartment buildings there but they only rent, and nothing is for sale as an investment property that can be rented until we move in after 7-8 years.

Three questions:

1. Any place that is selling in that part of town ? newer construction preferred to older ones!

2. Any realtors that deal specifically with that part of town that any one can recommend ?

3. What is the best way to research available properties in that general area (Class A/B) ?

Thanks!

Zee

I had no idea that was possible

Hondros is fully on board with online classes

I was enrolled there for the in-class classes in feb 2017, but they offered the online option midway so I finished them off online just a week ago and shaved 2 weeks off from what my last class would have been otherwise

I liked the class interaction as many students are in the field already and bring their perspectives to the class experience as do the instructors!

However you can't beat online for convenience!!

Thanks for that website reference, online classes are expected sometime in 2017. Right now however this comment is all there is...

At this time, online pre-license real estate education is not available in Ohio. However, OAR is currently sponsoring legislation that will allow for individuals to take all of the pre-license courses online. That legislation has already passed the Ohio House of Representatives and is awaiting hearings in the Ohio Senate. We hope online pre-license education will be available sometime in 2017. Stay tuned.

I understand that based on forum discussions from about 3 years ago that real estate classes need to be taken in person in Ohio in order to sit for the exam. Is this still the case. My only reason for getting a license is to access the MLS in order to buy investment properties for building my personal portfolio. Are online RE courses such as via Kaplan acceptable ?

Thanks for any insight re Ohio laws specially in the Cincinnati area
