Online real estate license classes in ohio

I understand that based on forum discussions from about 3 years ago that real estate classes need to be taken in person in Ohio in order to sit for the exam. Is this still the case. My only reason for getting a license is to access the MLS in order to buy investment properties for building my personal portfolio. Are online RE courses such as via Kaplan acceptable ?

Thanks for any insight re Ohio laws specially in the Cincinnati area

Jeff, where is the best way to find out when this happens? What website or Association?

Thanks!

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. I would just keep checking the OAR website at ohiorealtors.org. I'm sure they would have something on the site if and when it gets passed. I was trying to look it up just now but was having no luck finding anything on it at the moment.
