@Jeff Copeland Thanks!
Unfortunately, Fanny Mae is telling me that they don't actually own the property even though they do according to the tac assessors office.

I found a forclosure that's in great condition. According to the tax accessors office Fanny Mae owns the property. According to Fanny Mae the title is 'invalid'. I've been going in circles. What am I missing here?

Hey BP Folks!

I came across a single family property with an inground pool that is good for a fix and flip. The thing is this property was used for a grow house.. yup. The flooring completely torn out, the place was wired specifically to grow the green stuff, and they had put in all sorts of piping and ventilation systems. An extremely weird situation Going on there.

The guy was arrested and the house was seized. I would love to hear your thoughts on this situation. Has anyone ever dealt with a Fix & Flip like this before?

The ARV is 900K
Rehab Costs are going to be 300K+

As a NEW investor, is this something I should be passing along to another investor with more experience? I Would LOVE to join up with someone on this just to learn as much as I can. even if the profit isn't much.
Thanks in advance!

Jason Lee it would go for about 600k+ after Rehab. It’s definitely worth flipping but I’m interested in trying to keep it as a SFR if possible.

Hey everyone,
i'm just getting started in REI and i'm about to obtain my first SFR. My parents sing family home is located in NY and still has a large mortgage on it. My Mom doesn't want the house anymore and told me that i can take it and work out a way to pay off the mortgage.
My question is this: The house is worth 500k and there is a 350k mortgage on it. The house needs work to say the least.
I spoke to Agents in the area and I was told that people that come to buy in the area usually like to fix it themselves.
They also said that Houses don't rent out here because people coming to the area are buying. (Property taxes out here are pretty high too)
What is the best Strategy for me?
Thanks in advance!
