Hey there smart people,

I've been looking to invest in my first deal and for that, I was looking at homes online. During this, I can across this one thing.

My question here is: Is it me or everyone thinks that Charlotte's housing market is a bit expensive than the US average housing market. Now I might not know in deep because I've been looking deals only on sites like Realtor, Zillow, etc. And I don't have access to MLS yet.

Any advice or guidance regarding this from some local experienced people is much appreciated.

Thank you @Nasar Elarabi. I see that this COVID-19 situation has changed the way people think And houses will be a hit for this certain time period. Thank you @Brock Mogensen for your opinion too.

Thank you @Dawn P. @Account Closed for your opinions. In conclusion, I understood that it all depends on the choice of tenant and the location of my property. Still, in some way, I feel like a house could be a good start for me in some ways.

That's a good point @theresa. I would like to get more opinions on this from any local investor from the Charlotte area.

@Kyle Spearin I own nothing at present and I just got out of my college. I am thinking of getting my first investment property with an FHA loan. And for that, I am educating myself. During this, I came across this question as the place where I live is full of apartments and very few houses to rent. But thank you for giving me a direction to think.

Hey there smart people,

So, I am starting with my real estate investor career recently and I came across this one question for which I'm getting biased answers. So, here is my question: Why would people choose to rent a house over an apartment? what are the pros and cons of both sides?

Thank you so much @Blake Dailey. I'm going ahead with your suggestion of working with someone who has experience in investing first.

Hello there! My name is Yashank and I'm from Charlotte, NC.

my question is: Is it a good time to start investing in Real Estate for a newbie like me with no or low money down. or should I gain some experience working with an experienced investor first?( I have started reading books on real estate investing tho...but as we all know, theoretical knowledge can never beat practical knowledge. )

and if yes then is Charlotte a good city to buy rental properties?
