There are good investment properties in Northern NJ.  A lot has to do with the strategy you're planning on.  Rental prices are very healthy in Northern NJ given quick and e-z access into NYC.

Rob, I'm not too familiar with rural areas of NJ/NY in that Northern NJ mainly consist of suburban towns outside of NYC.  Many live in NJ and commute daily to NYC to work.

Finding Bigger Pockets has been empowering for me.

Reading the Forum and listening to the Podcasts is addictive.  It's a community that seems to encourage newbies and experienced investors alike to think big and outside of the box.

I’ve been involved in Real Estate Sales for a few years working for investors and retail clients in the Northern New Jersey/NYC area.  I’m now looking to purchase strategically myself and make money.  As a NJ/NY Broker, I act as a resource helping others find good deals and now looking to be resourceful in investing in my own projects which is the reason why I joined Bigger Pockets.

My plan is to invest in Multifamily and Single Family with a strategy of buy and hold as well as buy and flip.  My core competency is in the area of marketing property and my agency does some property management.  I love real estate so much so that even while vacationing with family and friends enjoy visiting the local real estate office. Now I’m looking to go to new heights as a strategic Investor. I look forward to connecting with like-minded investors.
