Hi, as a favor to a foreign family member, I'm looking to sell a couple pieces of land.

This is completely new to me, but do I go about it the same way as I would sell property? Anything I need to be concerned about? Are the commissions the same for a land sale versus a SFR/MF?

Thank you! I've already learned so much from this forum in 3 weeks, highly impressed with people's knowledge and willingness to share/help.

@Russell Brazil thanks for your reply. So you think if I clearly spell out that Agent 1 is my person for County A and Agent 2 is my person for County B, that they'd balk at it?

My preference would certainly to be able to find 1 person, who is reliable, sharp, and knowledgeable but afraid that they may not have the appropriate background and knowledge/connections when crossing neighborhoods (about 1-2 hours apart)

@Eric Dowling Thanks Eric! I wasn't sure if most agents would be comfortable with me using 1 agent for County A and another agent for county B. Doesn't seem as if there is a hard rule to it

I am looking in a few different areas in the Southern California area and was wondering if I I should work with 1 agent or multiple agents who specialize in their given area.

What are the pros/cons of each?

Thanks for your insight!
