Hey Mike, sounds like you're off to a good start.  I am also from Alberta based out of Red Deer.  I currently have 5 units all local to Central Alberta.    Next time you're in the area feel free to give me a shout, always looking to learn from others.  Cheers

Hey Alex, nice work on taking the next step.  I live and have a couple rentals in Red Deer/ Sylvan Lake.  Feel free to touch base if you have questions  or would like to meet up when in the area.

If its a big worry of yours and If you are thinking about renovating (ie. replacing flooring) this is a perfect time to raise the sunken floor back up to the same height as everything else.   Its usually easier than it sounds.  As always get a quote and allow 20% more for wiggle room.

Hey guys,  I'm from Red Deer, have a construction background, 2 up/down suites and 1 property in sylvan we are working on renovating to eventually airbnb.    Looking to also be apart of any red deer, edmonton, or calgary meet ups.    Always looking to learn more and share my experiences.

On the construction side our company specializes in foundations, and earthwork.  Feel free to direct message any questions or concerns when looking at properties that might have foundation issues.

Thanks again and keep me in the loop :)

Hey Guys,

I stumbled across a Wheelchair accessible house for a good price and it has me curious.   Does anyone currently have wheel chair accessible rental houses, if so do you mind sharing some pros and cons?   Seems like a niche market that would have less competition and possible long term renters.  Let me know what you think.

Thanks again!

Hey Roger,  I like the enthusiasm however I work in the foundation industry and it is rarely a cheap fix.    Make sure to do your due diligence with some quotes before closing.    Feel free to send me pictures of the foundation issues and I’ll give you my take on the situation.    Good luck!

@Travis Hewlett thanks for the advice, this property evaluation is more for practice so I don't want to spend any money on it.  Appreciate the input.  Cheers

Trying to evaluate the market value of an apartment unit after the renovation is complete, however there aren't many comparisons in the area. Does anyone have a good strategy for making sure an evaluation is accurate...  Are there any good websites out there that list old sales or listings?   Also if it matters from Alberta, Canada.    Thanks for the help.
