Quote from @Kris Allen:

@Walter Pineda 43609 is divided into 2 parts. The elementary school would have to be Arlington or Burroughs. If it’s Walbridge or Jones that’s where your D class starts.

thank you for taking the time to respond.

Nah, not a risk that you'll need to have on your radar.

Junkies stealing your copper piping, yes. Tornadoes, no.

Hi! welcome this is a good place to learn before you get your feet wet but wait you already have experience as a building manager, right. If you have not read these books, I recommend:

The Long-Distance Real Estate Investing BP

The Millionaire Real Estate Investor

Buy/ Rehab/ Rent/ Refinance/ Repeat BP

the book on Rental Property Investing BP

The secret and Think and Grow Rich, the multifamily Millionaire I haven't read this one yet but plan too.

If I were you and, in your position, I would house hack triplex or quadplex live in one rent out the rest like I said you already have experience in that. Talk with someone that has done that in this forum.

Quote from @Dave Poeppelmeier:

It depends on where you're at in 43609. There are a couple of nice sections of neighborhoods that are solid to invest in, but there's a lot of D+ in that zip code as well. And no, you don't need tornado insurance. Let me know if you have any other questions.

 Thank you!

Quote from @Kerry Baird:

@Walter Pineda Have you made it through the HELOC process? Can you give some data points? Who did you use, and how was the process?

Hi! I have not fund a lender (PenFed, Quorum, TD Bank and US Bank)
that provide a HELOC on rental properties yet still looking. So, I got a HELOC on my primary, ready to purchase rental properties! Sorry for the late reply :)
