Hello all, 

I wanted to get some advise and opinions of multifamily homes as a primary residence and investment ( tenant pays off mortgage).

i have an idea where i would go out and find a motivated seller with a 50% occupancy where i can take up the other 50% becoming a landlord.

I know this is going to take some hard work and i am willing to put in the work. I want to weigh the pros and cons, best case scenarios and worst case scenarios.

 I am excited to see this post. I currently live in the Bronx and my building I live in went through a major renovation in the past few years and rent has hit a all time high. I am interested in multifamily, (duplex, Triplex) as a residence and investment. I see we are in the same area and would be interested in linking up and learning as much as possible. I will be following this post.

I have made the decision that i will be a real estate investor and will part take in the benefits and fun that it can bring. i am starting off and excited to be a member of bigger pockets. I wanted to ask those that started off from scratch, where can i meet and network with people and discuss my ideas and visions. I am a people person and have no problems sparking a conversation, especially one as positive as real estate and investments.
