This property is a $180,000 short sale and has a non working pool. For my first investment property, is it wise to purchase this SFR knowing it would add another expense to fill in the pool? I'm planning to BRRRR it. What's your opinion? MLS#1004110635

I'm also experiencing that right now. I read the BP forums everyday, read a lot of REI books and listen to podcasts but I still feel that I'm not going anywhere.

Thanks for bringing this up. I'm also thinking of buying TK properties in out of state areas but this is an eye opener for me.

I also need connections in the Norfolk area. I live in Alexandria and my son used to study in ODU and I like the area around the university.I've been looking at MLS properties but they look like they're overpriced. I just want to connect with local people who know the area well.
