Post: Need Aspiring Interior Decorator for SFH

Hello all, We are renovating an SFH in Wilson, NC, and would like help/ideas with decorating and furnishing it, but of course funds will be tight for the entire project. Has anyone used a good interior decorator, who maybe is just getting started and is not as expensive as a seasoned Interior decorator?

State Farm seemed to have the best rates for a company I was familiar with, there was some new online one that was lower, forget the name, but I was a bit unsure about using them.

Thak you Tom for the information.

Good morning BP family. We are purchasing a SFH that needs rehabbing. I'm deciding if I want to be the general contractor or hire one. What are pros/cons of this? Is there enough cost savings for it to make sense. What are your thoughts and experiences? Thanks Happy investing.

Are you paying cash or getting a rehab loan where the lender will advance you rehab funds?  If the latter, you will likely not have a choice as most rehab loans require a GC. (unless you day job is in the trades)

Hello Jay. Thank you for answering my question. We are getting a rehab loan.

Hi Veronica,

Our property manager says that we are with State Farm. For reference, we are Accent Property Management, in Tulsa

Good morning, Liz, thank you for the information. Happy investing to you.

Hello everyone. Apparently with all the different weather related issues going on, and uptick in claims, some of the insurance carriers are no longer writing  Landlord policies in Oklahoma.  Does anyone have rental property in Oklahoma, and what company are you using? Thank you.

Hi Veronica,  Do you mean homeowner's for landlords? Or a policy related to tenants? We administer hundreds of rentals in Tulsa and I'm happy to look into it for you.

Hello Liz. Yes. Homeowner's for landlords, to insure a rental property.

Hi, Veronica. Have you tried posting on Turno yet for a housekeeper or Thumbtack for a handyman? Both of these are good sources to find out who's out there and potentially get quotes. Good luck!

Thank you, Bonnie. I will look into them.
