Thank you so much for your advise and thoughts @Susie Ramsey. That sure gave me a deeper inside of the situation.

@JD Martin Thank you for your suggestion. I agree with you, like I mention the only reason why I would consider it is because it would be something temporary (a month or two). Thank you for your thoughts!

@Wayne Brooks thank you so much for your response. I thought the same thing, it sounded a little weird to me. He assures he had a tenant living there for 4 years. The only thing I may consider it is because he said it would not be any paperwork involve, just paying him the rent on the side. If this is the case I cannot be charge any legal penalties am I correct?

Hello everyone!

I am moving to Florida very soon and was inquiring on properties to live there. I found a listing of a 1/1 condo, while talking to the landlord he mentioned that he had a bigger vacant condo which is being under Foreclosure dispute. He will be willing to rent me until the dispute is over (January 2017) at half price which is perfect because I am looking for a temporary place while I settle there. All he asked is to not mentioned to anyone that I am renting the place, if I were get asked to say that I was his relative or something like that. My question then is, how safe is this? will I be in any trouble if I move there? any thoughts and experiences are appreciated.

Thanks,
