We are also from Southern IN & have looked into Kentucky properties also (but have not invested there yet). I have also heard KY is tenant friendly. I'd be interested to see the responses to this question as well.

The lots are small portions of the lot a house was built on. Only .032acres. Not enough to build on :(

2.) If we may have a chance of selling the portion of the lots we bought to the homeowners if the builder doesn't pay. Ugh....at least we leaned a lesson today :)

Thanks for your response. It was very confusing how it was listed. What we bought were lots 92 & 93, but apparently a small portion of each of those lots were not sold to the people who bought the lots with the house. So I bought 2 tax liens at the county sake. 2 useless unusable lots in a subdivision that are currently builder owned. The address was listed on the tax sale property list, and being new too this, I thought that the actual address with house was the property I was bidding on. I know I should have done more research etc & I understand that it's "buyer beware". Luckily I purchased the liens for the minimum bid & it was a low amount. So I'm not out too much money. However, I don't like losing any money ever. So my question is, has anyone bought lots that were builder owned at tax sales? And, in your opinion/experience what are the chances of the builder paying?

I'm looking for someone to learn from locally. Clark/Floyd County indiana or Louisville KY area. My husband & I are brand new to this with little capital. We have taken the Bill Vaughn course & have read so much on here etc....it's all SO much info. It's a bit overwhelming for us. At this point we don't know where to start. We were thinking wholesaling.
