Typically around $3,000, you can offer it for free for scrap and sometimes someone will come by and pull the home for free.

What is everyone thoughts, Tiny Homes or Mobile homes.  My fear is that the Tiny Home movement might be more of a fad and reflective of our economy.  Once the economy improves for everyone would the market for affordable housing still be there.  I currently own a MHP and I'm tempted to create a section dedicated to Tiny Homes especially since I already have the infrastructure in place.  Mobile Homes typically are 800+ sq ft and large enough for most small families.  The only negative from an owners perspective is that it's very expensive to move a mobile home vs a tiny home.  Anyone with a pickup truck can move out a tiny home with little to no notice.

I would be surprised if there was a national law that dictated how a MHP can run it's own business.  Many Townhomes, Condos and single family subdivisions have similar stipulations that units must be owner occupied.  If a law did exist it would be felt throughout the industry with MHP being a very small fraction affected by such a law.

Be careful, I looked into this about two years ago and Milwaukee is similar to Chicago in that some blocks are very rough.  A majority of the nicer areas are in the burbs.  In the end it wasn't a good fit for me.  Make sure you find someone who really knows the area especially if you are going to focus on a property within the city limits of Milwaukee.

I typically sell these homes for $1.00 and then provide 1-3 months of grace period depending on the extent of the repairs to make the home habitable.  I only sell the title after the necessary repairs have been completed and the home is habitable on the outside and clean and presentable on the outside.
