Currently I'm sitting with $70k in the bank, ready to invest. After speaking with a good friend he too is ready to invest with just shy of $100k. Should we keep our money seperate, as well as portfolios? Or should we colaboarate ? We are currently looking at $1.5-$2 million dollar apartment complexes, 40+ doors. For the folks with experience investing this type of money with another investor, what type of issues have you ran into ? Would we even get approved for such a loan? The Columbus market is at a premium currently, and I can not see that changing any time soon.

Thanks !

@Joshua D. Thanks for the positive encouragement. Hearing other peoples stories, and where they were at my age really helps me get an idea of what my goals should be. When you purchased your multifamily home, was it already occupied ? If so did you have any issues with the tenant ?

Hello everyone,

Originally I had told myself  I would get into the real estate game once I had saved $100k, but tired of waiting! Im 25 years old, a veteran, and have about 45k saved up. Where should I start? I'v been looking at multi family homes in Columbus, Ohio, and Campus housing. Any recommendations for a noob and where to start would be great.
