Yeah you're right, I was getting stuff mixed around when it came to a short sale. Thanks for the responses!

So after doing some research it seems as if it seems almost better to just find properties in preforeclosure and try to get a short sale through it. I've never done a deal like this before so any advice for that would be great.

Short sales don't exist today...I think you are mixing your vernacular up or, if you really mean a short sale, you are premature getting into this side of the market.

You're correct in saying that I'm premature in getting in this side of the market, I've never dealt with foreclosures/preforeclosures, I'm just trying to learn as much as I can right now. As for short sale I think I'm mixing up both my vernacular and really mean short sale. What I mean by that is that if I just buy the property from the owner who is in preforeclosure then it wouldn't be a short sale. But, if I contact the bank, and go through anything they need me to do in order to acquire the property, offer a proposal, etc. then it is a short sale.

Hey Everyone!

Been on the forums for awhile now, decided a few days ago it was about time to make a profile.

I've been in real estate for about 7 months now with my best friend. He wanted to get into real estate and told me I should do it with him. He knew of someone from our church that was into real estate and it's just snowballed from there. My friend and I have some ambitious goals of wanting to increase our passive income so that we can retire by the time we're 30.

I started off wholesaling and in the past couple month or two I've been getting into flipping while wholesaling.

Glad to be here!

Hey Everyone,

My company and I have been looking into foreclosures lately and are wanting to purchase foreclosures in bulk (or portfolio purchase) rather than just one here and there. I"ve read some articles outside of Biggerpockets that talk about it but I wanted to see if anyone here has had any experience buying foreclosures in bulk from banks? If you have, what was your experience throughout the process?

Thanks!
