Well @Alexander Grullon my suggestion would be to purchase a property. This thought process of investing in a Tesla to save money is not the case. Unless you were investing in Tesla stock that is a different story. Buy a inexpensive vehicle, I'm sure they have car auctions where you can buy one for cheap or off of craigslist.

Buy a property, eventually rent it out. Rinse and repeat.

Hello @Emilee Steers

1. Why is your credit bad? What can you do to improve it? Have you contacted a lender to help improve it? Do you know you can dispute things like hard inquires on your credit and dispute it and it is free.

2. Are you saving to get a down payment? Have you look into grants for purchasing? Also there are lending programs that help you with the down payment

3. Also have you thought about partnering up with someone? Also look into bridge loans or possibly getting the money gifted from your family or friends.

4. Also do a side hustle to make money. Like if you breed a AKC English bulldog you can raise money fast as soon as you get puppies ( that is a side note)

Just rent out the rooms, get a lease agreement. Especially if your plan is to buy more houses to rent out.

Awesome story @Brett McManus and congrats. That is a market I looked into as I got a friend out there and also my dad is from there. So good luck on your journey.

For some reason my post got removed. I'm not trying to sell anything. I was saying I am very knowledgeable in VA loans, so if he had questions regarding that I'm able to help.

@Michelle Dong Another way you can go about this is find a wholesaler out in that area and use hard money to fix it up and finance it.

Obviously much harder than just the traditional route of buying a home right off the bat using FHA, but you can potentially find a better deal that way.

Thanks for responding @Stone Saathoff

I haven't had contact with a wholesaler yet in San Antonio. I'm joining two Facebook investor groups out there.

I'm interested in residential properties under $185K

Hello @Account Closed how was the move? Did you find a wholesaler to work with or for?

I'm interested in working with a wholesaler to find single family investment homes in San Antonio.

Also have you used your V.A. loan, I'm currently working on my third one.
