Nicholas,

Check the Orange County Property Appraisers website,  search any address in an area you are interested in, as there really is no 'average'.

Hope this helps.

Orlando is a great place to invest in. I am a full time Rehab investor and Realtor as well, and while it is becoming difficult to find flips, I come across buy/hold properties quite routinely which I share with other investors. I just did a brief report on Orlando ("You don't know the half of it") recently for a foreign investor. If you would like a copy, please fell free connect with me and send me your email address (can't send attachments in BP's mail system). Just met an investor who traveled here (from Vegas) and showed him the Orlando area; he was taken aback by how different it was from his perception.

Welcome to BP. You could not have chosen a better online resource to educate yourself.

Best of luck to you.

Aida,

You could not have chosen a better online resource to both educate yourself and network,  although I suspect with your experience you may be able to coach others on some topics.

Sendrick,

Welcome to BP. You could not have picked a better online research to educate yourself. You can join CFRI or GOREIA for your live education as well.  Each will cost you about $160 per year,  which is very cheap considering what you gain. CFRI has many meetings per month which are helpful, just make sure you leave your checkbook home for the first several months as you will be bombarded with a fair amount of information marketing.

To your success.

Gary,

Welcome to BP. As both a full time investor and realtor based here in Orlando, I can tell you that you could not have chosen a better online resource to educate yourself, and a fantastic place to live (ha, ha). Would highly recommend you listen to their podcasts, as they were a great source of information for me.

Best of luck to you.

Bruce,

Welcome to BP, from your fellow Real Estate Investor and Realtor located here in Orlando. You could not have chosen a better online resource for networking and education.

Best of luck to you.

David,

That is a gutsy move; I did the same thing 2 years ago when I decided to go into flipping full time, albeit probably for different reasons. Everyone is different, but one of the hardest things I found was adapting to an unstructured life (working for myself, at home, as compared to decades in corporate life); it still is a challenge to an extent.

I look forward to receiving your wholesale deals; I buy in Orange, Lake, Polk, Osecola and Seminole.

Go forth and crush it!

Here in Orlando, there are a number of turnkey opportunities available due to the city's incredible growth rate. I would recommend you see a good mortgage broker first, and find out how much you qualify for on an investment home in Central Florida. As an example, I just finished renovating a home in Lakeland Florida which qualifies for USDA financing, the biggest benefit of which is 0% down. .

Once you know what you qualify for, your search becomes much easier. You also have the option of looking for seller financed properties, but these are much less in number and harder to locate.

Best of luck to you.
