Welcome Gena B. to BP. Try to get to some of the local meet ups in the area. Charlotte has several meet ups a week. Just about everyday. Goto meetup.com enter real estate and you will find several. I goto a few of these meet ups a week. There while networking and building relationships you may come across someone who you can learn from. However you must add value to the relationship to find someone willing to invest in you. It doesn't matter what you can add, maybe you have a knack for the Internet or spreadsheets or you may just have time to help out with smaller stuff. Find out how you can help others and then they will help you. Finally you have BP which is like a giant mentor. You can find out about anything by either searching it or asking a question. Best of luck to you.

Welcome Eric Tillmon You've come to the right place for a Welch of information. Also check out the local REIA groups. There are several in the Charlotte area and meetings just about everyday. Look them up on meetup.com. Best of luck.

Welcome @Terrell Kennedy to BP. To find a mentor you must add value to the relationship. It must be a win win for both parties. It's great that you're eager however you shouldn't need anyone to push you.  Think of what you have to offer. Do you have a skill that is useful (like setting up web sites) or do you have extra time that you can offer (maybe help clean out a recently purchased property). You have to build that trust. This is a people business.  It would be crazy to ask someone to marry you after just meeting them. You have to build that relationship.  Build relationships and a mentor will find you.  Besides this site is like a giant mentorship. You can find the answer to any question in the blogs and forums   If you don't find the answer then just ask away. Best of luck to you
