Hello everyone... Was just wonder if I'm still thinking like a civilian home owner instead of an investor, but when I see a listing saying selling "as is"... Alarm bells ring... Am I wrong to think that way as an investor?

Please take my advice with a grain of salt since I don't even have one unit under my belt. Personally, if they're being that unreasonable with the price, I would say walk away.

@Engelo Rumora, no worries here.  I definitely got the anti-guru vibe from the podcasts and that's one of the reasons I was drawn to BP.  I can't stand all those infomercials and scam ads...the fact that the community in BP overall seems to be totally against them is why I'm spending so much time here.

I'm looking forward to more networking and meetups, looking forward to investing asap, and looking forward to generating the kind of passive income that will get me through my retirement years.

@Will Chamberlin thank you so much...!  I wasn't planning on being there on 2/2...I thought I saw something about a 2/7 meeting and was lamenting that I would be in Texas that week.  I may very well come up for that meeting!

@John Kaftan thank you very much for your offer as well!

@Sam Gastro, thank you so much for the follow up!  I truly appreciate it.

The bank is Wells Fargo. I think it may be a lost cause, but since my personal mortgage is with them, I'll try and see if my loan officer can dig anything up.

Hello BP,

So I believe I will be investing in the Syracuse area...

The numbers seem very good with these multi-family homes...

I was wondering if I could use some of your people to help...could you refer a property manager, inspector, a general contractor and a handyman (for the small day to day stuff)?

Also, what are the people like up there in Syracuse?  I hate to sound paranoid, but certain parts of NYC are still very...well...diversity intolerant.
