Glad to see I'm not in this boat alone. Not sure what to do with this but will try to clean it first and see how that goes.  We removed the paneling and just adding the drywall brightens the room...this is real rock and there was a "bar" area in the foyer that we demo'd but this fireplace is a beast.

Hello all! I have often said, "I want to invest in real estate." As a military spouse, we were relocated to California from Florida and our primary residence became a rental. This gave us some exposure to real estate investing.   We attended a real estate investing seminar this weekend and are excited and motivated.
