I wouldn't recommend Canada...at least not Ontario...prices are pretty outrageous here (coming from a Realtor)...There is a huge shortage in Ontario and lots of competition. Buying anything under $200k is almost unheard of! Plus labour is expensive

@Chris Baxter thank you. I actually didn't know that there were places that DON'T have rent control. I still haven't figured out the best plan of action for myself, mainly because capital is so low...just got our first duplex which was a stretch. I think I need to look at more flips, but also very afraid of losing money, so just absorbing as much as I can for when the time is right.

@Chris Baxter I haven’t considered other areas just bc of the convenience factor. Do you suggest anywhere specific?

I’m in the same boat and looked elsewhere. I just bought something in Stratford. Feel free to send me a message and I can discuss more detail with you.

Does anyone from Canada have a pro membership and find it worth the money? Without being able to use most of the services because they are only limited to USA, I was wondering if there is any value in Canadians going PrO?

I am about to firm up my first investment (duplex) in Canada and I am already seeing opportunities everywhere. I am a fairly new Realtor as well but have now totally found my passion in investments. I lack the money to purchase another in the near future, how can I create momentum to grow and turn this passion into a successful business?
