He's saying that he made money with poker tournaments to invest with. Wasn't advising people to gamble to make money.

Well I'll take that back then.

If I had a $1,000,000 I would pay off my bills for at least 2 years or more & keep the same mindstate before you made that $1,000,000 just so you can stay motivated to get another $1,000,000 or more. Also if you have children I would put there college money into a 529 plan. Over time the money in there earns interest.

I own a recording studio. I also do graphics, marketing & promotions. I added real estate investing to my portfolio because I want to travel the world & still be able to make money where I go.

Infact it's usually quite the opposite. Usually by that stage you have more problems and responsibilities to deal with. And money does not make one happy. But the way I look at life is that you have to do something each day anyway, so if you have to work better to at least be able to say you work for yourself.

Your right. But if you look at problems different like me, you can make money off of them.

I read it. I would rate it as okay. It basically walks you through how to analyze a property (i.e. cash flow analysis) and discusses some due diligence stuff. I found it did not add much to what I've learned from reading this forum, especially some of the threads on deal analysis and how to use the property analysis tool.

What are some of the other books that you read ?
