Seems like you are in a good spot with how much you have saved up. But monthly income is probably worth increasing like Arjun K. mentioned. I'm 23 that has been my main focus. Since I live in California I haven't had a lot to save with the cost of living here, but my income has been a lot higher with how much work I get on the side of my main income. I am currently going through the scouting phase looking good neighborhoods and areas for potential in Salt Lake. We've been leaning towards the University where single family homes are lower.

Where are you guys looking now in Salt Lake?

But wow, thank you for the links! Any stuff like that giving solid advice where to start especially at my age is very appreciated.

I would love a Multi family but I think a single family might be more realistic for the first one. I know there would be some benefits if we got a Multi family and one of us lived in one unit. But price factor may be the thing that decides for at least our first unit.

Is there any reason you would recommend against that?
