Jared Rourke I serious doubts they are using planes or drones. You know that city if they have that type of program. You can request public information act. They most provide you reply to you with in 14 days. The funds if they are being use for this purpose must be disclosed.

Jared Rourke I doubt the city has that kinda of resources. You know that google map is free. One of the resources the city uses is the time lapse google map. Example: aug 2015 no rear structure. Aug 2017 new rear structure. No permit on file for address. Guess what it is most likely unpermitted.
I agree rent control is a big issue. If it is being listed for that cheap it must be rent control.

Matthew Paul A license engineer cannot over ride a building inspector. He definitely cannot sign or stamp the permit card. If you read code book, alot say local jurisdictions get the final say. Plus there are municipalities codes too. Example if code say abs is allowed. But the city say no abs. Guess what your Not putting in abs

Nicholas W. If you get caught you will get fine and pay double the permit fees. You get issue a stop work. If you continue working you can get arrested. If you dont pay you can be force To go to court. Then levy on your property. If it u safe you can get a red tag.
Hey is what you do. Dont do any construction yet. Do your roof first and finish it. Inspectors do not go into the house for roof inspections. Inspectors do not force you to fix anything unless it an apparent danger or safety concern.

Brandon Glasgow Notice your from CV, im from hayward, reach out to me if you have any questions. Congrats on your purchase what city did you buy in?
Binod G. You should hire a gc who has workers comp. If they don't they are not a good company or trying to save money. If you need a gc hit me up.
Purchased a duplex and gave 60 days notice. To all tenate I'm losing about 700 a month because of below market rent. One unit asking for additional 3 weeks because they are in escrow in purchasing a place. What do you think I should do? Extend for one month? Increase rates and sign a monthly or is there such thing as days? My goal is have them out so I can remodel and rent at market rate. What if their deals falls out? How would you guys structure this?
