Has anyone used a self-directed IRA to fund real estate deals? If so, what company would you recommend? And, has anyone had experience with Equity Trust out of West Lake, Ohio?

@Jay Hinrichs

We received it all because our tenants are either govt employees or school teachers.

@Brian C. Thanks Brian. I hope you don't mind me asking so many questions, just a couple more. Even with owning and working on the property for 6 months (2 waiting for permits, 4 actually doing the work), you still saw a decent ROI? Did you sell the property or are you renting it?

Thanks again!

Suzanne

@Brian C. Thanks for your input, Brian.  Might I ask how long it took you to complete the deal, what kind of work you put into it yourself in terms of construction, electric, plumbing, etc., and did you rent it or sell it?  We are looking at one house that's in a neighborhood that rarely turns over, but the reserve price is under $100K so it's intriguing to us.

One more question:  I don't know how long you've been with BP, but in your experience has doing real estate investment been worth it to you?

Thanks again!

Suzanne & Charlie

Has anyone had experience flipping in Fredericksburg, VA? How about buying a house at auction? We are new to BP and want to know what other's experience has been.
