@Arianna Crawford Renting as an investment property almost always is better. Do you have to work the numbers in terms of what your mortgage payments are and how much rent you can bring in to help cover the cost of your bills.

@Monica Soyemi Maybe you can room share with someone from the conference. I used to do that to save on expensive rooms. It's also a great way to connect with other investors!

@Dennis Yosco The conference is at the Sheraton so it's best to get a room there.

@Lam N. As you grow your business, have all the rentals handled by property managers and they can drive whatever car they want to the house.

@Shyam Panchal I would question the seller's honesty and/or ability to do rehabs. He must have done the work if it's that shoddy. If you haven't closed yet it's time for renegotiating.

@Nathan G. Our city requires it for the same bogus reason.

We are doing a private lending deal (we are the lenders) and haven't done this before. We just got the contract/promissory note from the borrower.  It seems pretty straightforward but would like an attorney to review it.  Any recommendations? Thanks

Thanks for the link.  Yes, that's the term I was looking for (redemption period).
