Hi @Derek Macbay I am in Singapore as well and just returned from the US this morning. Went there for closing of my first investment property in Austin. Let’s connect and meet here in Singapore. I am now looking at Raleigh-Durham now.

Thanks @Kenneth McKeown. I guess then Austin works in Texas as I am getting 200K new construction about 25 minutes away from downtown Austin. Still need to get a handle on Raleigh. I haven't been to Raleigh ever, so planning to visit next week.

Hi Folks, I am buying a new construction from DR HORTON in Austin which is now ready. I live in Singapore and will be traveling to Austin next week to do the closing. I believe in buying new construction, so looking at one more property. Since I am out of state, I don’t have any particular preference for Austin, Raleigh/Durham, Dallas or San Antonio. All I want is another SFH for around $190K-200K that can rent for $1500+ rent per month. I know of forest bluff and Austin colony developments by DR Horton in Austin that will give me that kind of rent, but since I have already bought one in Austin I don’t want to put too many eggs in one basket. I liked one new townhome construction by DR Horton in Durham within my price range but are not offering the phase 1 to investors. Would love to hear from the pros here. Cheers Suren.
Saberian Younger thanks. I just finalized Statefarm. They had the best quote. I would like to chat about Austin separately with you since you have multiple properties there.

Hi,

My new investment SFH in Austin is close to getting ready. And I need to buy a homeowners insurance policy for this. Any recommendations by experienced pros? I will be renting this one out, so it's not going to be used as a primary residence at all. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Suren

Hi Folks, I am buying a new construction from DR HORTON in Austin which will be ready by end of this month. I live in Singapore, so I won’t be going to do a buyer walkthrough. My real estate agent is going to do that on my behalf. Given that this is a new construction and there will be a warranty on the home, does it make sense to spent more on an independent, 3rd party agency to do the home inspection? Would love to hear from the pros here. Cheers Suren.

@Justin Owens how much rent do you get in Maricopa for a SFH? @Stone Jin agree with you that i cannot focus on just Intel employees, but being out of state and with almost zero knowledge of the Chandler area, I am focusing on what I know, as an Intel employee :) So, Gilbert, Mesa are going areas nearby to look for SFH? What others are the upcoming areas in Chandler where one can find a deal?

@Stone Jin thanks for your guidance. I am basically focusing on Intel renters. Yes, i will be using leverage. The question i have is if Intel employees will commute to either of the Intel campuses from Queens Creek, Maricopa or Mesa?
