Darren, I'm Lakeland and invest in the surrounding area.  I have an HVAC and Plumber I use regularly and am mostly happy with.  As for handy folks, I've yet to use anyone twice.  I've put this same post out there before on BP too.  Keep me in mind if you find someone you'd recommend.

I've lived here for 30 years, so I know the area well. @Richard Ellis I know "Ton" is an exaggeration, but we are far from that. MLS Deals are becoming fewer and leaner with every passing week, but there are deals here; however, you have to have cash and be quick. Colleagues Request me or message me if you want to connect.

That is the correct website. This is a not for profit REI, so everyone works on a voluntary basis so you may need to keep calling until you reach someone.

REI here is PCREIA (I call it "Pizzeria", but don't tell them I said that - ha!). This is their website www.PCREIA.com. During the summer they only meet on the first Thursday of the month. There is a meeting this week. The per meeting fee of $20 for non-members. Not sure what the annual membership fee is. Great speaker this week. Would highly encourage going if able!
