So what ended up happening? Are there local meetups happening in the central coast? If so, I would love info. On them. Anyway I can help you with this or another project Trenton?

Thanks. I actually tried to delete it because I didn’t want the address shown but couldn’t figure out how so I just erased. Thanks for your time.

Hopefully this owner wants to sell! I've had my eye on it for a while. I am not sure yet if I would flip it or rehab and rent.

Hi,
I am curious if you decided to go for the short term rental and what success, if any, are you having? Long story short, I was a Real Estate agent in OC, CA and flipped some of my own lived in properties. I also had an Airbnb on one of my own properties as well. I enjoyed both things. I left CA for 18 months. I’m now back in CA near Palm Springs and considering if I should get my RE license renewed but mostly because I want to do actual flips or what you are thinking of doing with Airbnb with other peoples owned property. Any insight would be great!

I am completely new to real-estate, but have been thinking about doing short-term rentals through Airbnb for quite some time now. I've done quite a bit of research/market research and have a decent amount of capital saved up at this point so Im ready to try my hand at it now. My target market is in the Orange County area around Huntington Beach.

Ive done a lot of research already, but just looking for some advice or info directly from someone with hands-on experience in the field. Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

One question I do have is: how much cash is a good amount to have starting out w/ 1 property and planning to expand to 3 by the end of 2021? Btw I am looking to rent these properties w/ an arbitrage agreement w/ the landlord or through apartment complexes. I dont own any properties of my own... Yet.

Lisa and Saul,

Thank you for the letter/question and follow up. I’m gaining my courage of how to go on a similar path. I’ve flipped my own properties in the past but want to start doing them as an investment not a live in flip. Keep the suggestions coming and good luck!
