@Wayne Brooks I appreciate the input. I'm attempting to review Tennessee laws right now.  The house is 95% finished but many fine details are missing or look poor. Would you negotiate a lower price for the work he has provided me and then separate ways?

@Wayne Brooks, would you push to get the contractor to finish the job or negotiate a lower price to get him off the job and hire out the rest of the work? I'm going to be asking for lien wavers to ensure the subcontractor has been paid in full so he can't go after me too. The fact that the GC tried to file an insurance claim on the subcontractor for poor work supports my case that he agreed the work was poor and needs fixed.

Hey BP - I hired a contractor for interior drywall and interior/exterior paint back in February. I've had issues since day one with quality and finally finished the interior. He then subcontracted the exterior paint to another individual who has done very poor work. The contractor tried to file a claim on the painters insurance but informed me the insurance company will not pay anything or help remedy the issue. The contractor is now telling me I owe the final balance or he will send me to collections. I have documented the process and proof of the poor work that has been done. Seeking advise as to how to approach this matter. Thanks!

Hello BP community,

I am seeking an apartment complex within Davidson county between1-5 million dollars. I'd prefer properties that are either class C or class B, but would be open to all deals.

Hey BiggerPockets community,

My wife and I just moved down to Nashville and I'm so excited to be in this market. Although it's a tough market to be in, I see a lot of opportunity and would love to partner with someone for my first couple of deals. Instead of "driving for dollars" as @Brandon Turner coined, I've been "biking for dollars" since it offers a more unique and personable experience with the neighborhoods. If you're an investor willing to take on an extremely motivated individual seeking to explore the Nashville market, let me know! I'd love to meet up for coffee, lunch, etc to determine if we'd be a good fit or not.

@Jordan Buie is this property still for sale? I live just a few minutes from this property and would like to schedule a time to meet up if you're available.
